Man, my dealership took $4,300 off MSRP on the 2024 Tundra Limited, TRD Off Road, long bed, and I'm not STILL not budging. Out the door pricing came in at just above $65,800 with taxes and fees. Had they have 1.99% for 72 months, I would have taken the deal, but right now, I'll keep waiting. More options will hit the market in fall, and I'll bet that they'll take at least another $2,000 off by then, and financing will likely be around 1.99% or 0% for 48 months.

Prices definitely need to drop by a lot, but I can’t see them falling back to where they were before the lockdowns and supply chain issues. Inflation has destroyed the value of the dollar which isn’t surprising after the Fed dumped a bunch of money into the system while the government was throwing cash out like Monopoly money. Salaries didn’t keep up at a time where we lost a huge percentage of our buying power and all of this was avoidable and they knew it which means all of this pain we feel was intentional. Remember the words of Klaus Schwab where he proclaimed we will own nothing and be happy. If you don’t know who that is, do a search for him and his agenda 2030. It’s not conspiracy theory when they write it down and speak it. Judging from the prices of almost everything mixed with salaries, I’d say they are easing us into this plan, but I hope and pray things will turn around.

A shocking real world example of this is the cost of windowless cargo vans which quietly keep the country working in countless ways. In late 2019 my employer bought me a new 2019 Ford Transit 250. I looked up the invoice and the cost out the door with all taxes, titles and fees was $34900. That included a cargo shelving package that I picked out and they installed! I priced up a 2024 exact equivalent and it came out to $58.800! A little over 68% increase in less than five years! Obviously my employer was able to bargain a good price on my van but they tell me no one will do that now it’s sticker or more plus they charge extra labor to install shelving. This is really hurting small businesses that rely on these vans to get work done.

Let me just say 😌 If all these car and truck companies can build a camry for $33.000 dollars, make it last 300,000 miles.an others in respect to their auto's for 30 to 40 thousand dollars. Tried buying one in Florida. Wouldnt budge below 50k , low-balled my trade and with 841 CS best bank could deliver was 6.0% plus...all this at a Toyota dealer. Went with another manufacturer, got 0.9%, a $7500 rebate, and beat the Toyota offer of my old Toyota Tundra by 3k!

I’m glad I reviewed this video before thinking about getting it. Was upset I couldn’t find a classic or modable gm from the 90s or 2000s I like for a good price made me think about this but I don’t want a fwd. it’s a shame they made these cars or any ls4 fwd, just stupid.

I personally think that this ridiculous pricing is done on purpose. The people that run everything don’t want us driving and using resources. This is speculation of course. I would like to know how dealerships are staying in business. Where are they getting their money?

It seems like pricewise there is not a great deal of a difference between Outback, Forester and CrossTrek. Hard to choose in other ways as well. I wonder if the Outback, in real world driving takes a larger hit than a CrossTrek 2.5, in regard to gas mileage and 0-60. Is the CrossTrek closer to the test figures when compared to Outback?

Great video and came at a perfect time for us. We are just torn on which one to get. We love the Outback but we need to tow a small camper 2500 lbs and want the option to tow a bit more later if needed. Yes, the Outback can tow up to 3500 lbs but I am not crazy about adding a hitch to a unibody. So we are likely going with the 4Runner (body on frame). We do sometimes end up in messy situations in northern Arizona and we think this will pull our small camper through those times better. You can see this camper on our UA-cam page. If people are wondering what is happening…new cars are not selling. When new cars are moving like mad dealers make a little on each vehicle and due to the numbers a dealership makes good profit. When vehicles are not moving, the dealership tries to make their numbers from a handful of units moving…not rocket science. They can’t drop prices.

All these dealerships are doing are removing the arbitrary "market adjustments" that cropped up during Covid. This market adjustments were just further price gouging on top of the already ridiculous MSRP. No one is getting a "deal" until we are seeing 40% off the window stickers.

We may have inflation here in america and its all over the world BUT we have a serious GREEDFLATION problem in america that has taken root and does not seem to be going away. Greed is running rampant and its not just car dealers its almost everything now the inflation we have at this point is coming from GREED! There must be just enough buyers out there that still buy this stuff to keep the dealers and manufacturers confident enough to keep the prices where they are.
